I had to create an invite for class that was inspired by Russian Constructivism. It had to convey movement and non static conditions. 21st century inspirations were mandatory.
I used Piet Zwart and Jan Tsschichold for inspiration. Triangles seem to be omni present in the works of Russian Constructivist. So, I made that the center piece of this invite. From there I begin to use other shapes such as circles and slanted lines. The colors are bright and bold and a found in constructivist work as well, especially red. This invite displays a hierarchy of information, leading the viewers eye through all the important information, on the invite.
Using Russian Constructivist images and artist, enable me to come up with a successful solution to my invite. This invited includes all of the information that is needed to convey the who, what, when, and where in an organized, hierarchy of information. The way the shapes and words on the invite are placed, give this invite a certain energy that is congruent with Russian Constructivist work.
